Frequently Asked Questions
Do you travel for weddings?
Yes, I often travel. I’ve worked all around the UK, and I’m looking forward to visiting lots of new places throughout 2020. Destination weddings are the same price + flights, transport & hotel charges.
I don’t like having my photo taken. Do you offer pre-wedding shoots?
I don’t like having my photo taken either, so I know how you feel! Pre-wedding engagement shoots are a great way to remove any worries you have about being in front of the camera. My pre-wedding shoots are informal and relaxed; we’ll have lots of fun and get some fantastic pictures too.
Do you have backup equipment?
Absolutely. I usually bring three cameras along, a variety of lenses, and a range of accessories. I’m a member of the CPS (Canon Professional Services) network.
How long does it take to receive our photos?
Delivery of your images varies depending on when you get married. Between June to September, I will deliver photos 4-8 weeks after the wedding.
How long will you be with us on the day?
If you book me for a full day, I’ll be with you from morning preparations through to the first dance.
Will you be photographing our wedding?
Yes! You’re booking me and my creative eye.
How many images will we get?
There is no limit to the number of photos that I deliver; the average amount of images for a full 12 hour day wedding is 450+.
Do you process the images?
Yes, I edit every image using my handcrafted software.
Do you only shoot with natural available light?
As a documentary photographer, I will work quickly at your wedding to capture a comprehensive set of images that tell your beautiful, unique story. It’s not always practical to use flash as it slows down the creative process and puts limitations on my shooting style. Often off-camera lighting is essential (for your first dance, for example), but where possible and especially for your portraits, we will always make the most of the natural light available.
How do we book you?
Simple. Confirm in an email, and I will organise everything. I work on a first-come-first-served basis, couples get in touch daily, and dates go quickly (18-24 months in advance). A booking fee and signed contract are required to reserve your date. For destination weddings, the cost of flights/transport is the deposit.
