Do or do not. There is no try.– Yoda

I’ve won an award with the ISPWP for a category that I never thought I’d ever do well in!

What can I say! I’m over the moon to have picked up an award in the latest round of the ISPWP’s 2019 Fall Collection – especially seeing as my winner was from the Light and Motion category. It’s the first time I’ve won in this group and to say I’m delighted is an understatement. It’s a category I’ve always looked at from the outside in, but on this occasion, luck (and an insane amount of hard work) got me through.

The winning photo was taken for Lara & James at Fawsley Hall in Northamptonshire during a gorgeous sunset. Shooting into the light like this is incredibly hard, but I persevered, and this is the result. Usually, I would edit a photo like this in colour, especially since it was taken during the golden hour, but I love how black and white concentrates the viewer on the motion of Lara’s dress.

My thanks to the ISPWP!
