“The best of the best wedding photographers”– One Eyeland
There’s an old saying: “a picture is worth a thousand words”, if that’s true then here’s 10,000 words from Aynhoe Park
Earlier in the year I submitted 10 of my favourite pictures from Chloe & Joe’s wedding to One Eyeland. If you’re never heard of One Eyeland, it’s: ‘The best photo sharing site around that features top photographers and famous photography’. It isn’t just wedding photography and the calibre of work is strong. VERY strong. When I entered I knew the set was solid, but I never imagined I would win.
A lot of my photography has ended up in black & white this year (or at least many of my awards have). There’s a very special place in my heart for black and white, I think it removes distraction and competing elements that can be found in colour and it gets to the point much quicker. In many ways it helps to distil the moment. Of course black and white isn’t real (we don’t see in monochrome) but in many ways I believe it forces the viewers attention and cuts straight to the essence of the moment.
Curating over 12,000 photos down to 10 (0.08%) is hard but here they are. A gigantic thanks to Sharad Haksar, it’s an honour to be featured!
